We knew this moment would come, but god we waited for it for a long time. I’m sitting here typing this with immense excitement – and trying to find a way to go into some form of hibernation until next year. Either way – on 11/11/11 the moment will finally be there; we will be playing the next entry in the Elder Scrolls series. We’ll follow this release closely in the coming months and ensure we know exactly what direction Bethesda is taking this but even at this stage we can’t wait!

The Video Game Awards’ first reveal of 2010 came from Bethesda Softworks, with Director Todd Howard unveiling a teaser trailer for the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The next edition of the long running and highly successful Elder Scroll series, Skyrim will hit store shelves on November 11, 2011.

The video doesn’t reveal a lot but the narrator briefly describes the return of an old enemy, and a stone dragon awakens, so we can safely assume that the dragons are returning!   (As long as there are no Oblivion gates, we’ll be happy! Been there, done that a thousand times over…) The music is of the usual amazing quality we’ve come to expect in the Elder Scrolls series; let’s just hope that they carry this high standard through to the voice acting and choose to use more than 10 voice actors this time round!

We can’t wait, bring it on!
